As you all know, for several months now, the CR express has been the C-star in the logistics industry. Influenced by COVID-19 in 2020, more and more new customers will switch from sea and air transport to CR express, resulting in a sharp increase in demand. More departures than returns have caused a backlog of plates and containers in Europe; Supply exceeds demand, resulting in a shortage of freight space between China and Europe.


As a result of the shortage of shipping space, the price of  CR express has been rising slowly, and the logistics people suffer unbearably. Every time the price rises, they scratch their heads and do not know how to explain to customers.

The price rise of freight trains is a historical necessity


The initial development of CR express was very slow. In order to stimulate the growth rate of CR express, local governments attached great importance to and gave subsidies to the CR express, which was the biggest reason that the sales price of the CR express would be lower than the market price, and also an important reason that hindered the marketization of the CR express.


In fact, in the past few years, in the major logistics exposition and summit forum, the government, freight train companies and freight forwarding companies are all considering, if the CR express subsidy is no longer available, what should we do?


On August 24, 2019, the summit of "high quality, high efficiency, high level and marketization" was held in Chongqing, which was co-hosted by five companies including Chongqing new Europe, Zhengzhou Railway, CR express,  Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe Railway and Hunan-Europe Express, to discuss the countermeasures after the elimination of subsidies for CR express.

For the China-Europe freight train price rise, logistics people have long been prepared. The development of CR express towards high quality, high efficiency, high level and marketization is also bound to be restricted by the law of market competition and the law of supply and demand.

In the past few months, shipping prices have risen rapidly, making shippers earn more money in three months than in the past three years. This is determined by the current situation of the market. Corresponding, the price rise of CR express is also a normal phenomenon.

The identity of container carrier is more advantageous in the  CR express



Space and container are two of the most important words in China-Europe freight trains in recent months.

The CR express is a container train, one space for one container, one radish for one pit, no one can do without it.


At present, there is a serious shortage of containers. What's more, some analysts point out that the shortage of containers has not reached the peak yet. They predict that the shortage of containers in Asia in January will increase by 600,000 TEU compared with December.


When containers are in short supply, freight forwarders with boxes are in demand. In the past, Neptune Logistics has been advocating "container carrier", and it has proved to be the right decision.


According to industry analysts, the shortage of containers will continue for quite a long time. That is to say, there will be a box carrier will focus for a long time.
